MissionDescription
The role will provide overall management and coordination of Safran GB’s Permits & Concessions process across the entire New Product Development lifecycle, including live and post‑design projects, to agreed KPIs.
Scope of ResponsibilitiesYou will be a key individual contributor within the Safran Seats GB Engineering Projects office, supporting projects and engineering across Delivery, Test and Prototyping and Sustaining Production. Some UK and international travel (approx. 5 %) is anticipated.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Provide overall management and coordination of the company’s Permits & Concessions process across live projects and post‑design projects, acting as a focal point within the business for all matters relating to Permits & Concessions.
- Oversee and manage the activities of the Permits & Concessions team, ensuring delivery to agreed KPIs.
- Drive improvement in the end‑to‑end turnaround time for Permits & Concessions, facilitating all functional inputs and approvals to expedite the process.
- Act as a liaison between the Engineering IPTs, the Permits & Concessions team and Manufacturing, heightening design knowledge across production teams and manufacturing knowledge across engineering teams.
- Proactively respond to problems in the production or assembly of parts, subsystems and products and provide clear, concise communication of proposed solutions across Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Ensure that permits and concessions clearly define the intent of the deviation request including a proposed disposition to facilitate efficient downstream activities such as signatory reviews, approvals and/or implementation of engineering changes or industrialisation improvements.
- Contribute to the completion of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for the implementation of permanent solutions.
- Analyse data to investigate trends, identify systematic root causes and devise solutions to mitigate issues.
- Contribute to the capture and implementation of lessons learned related to concessions and permit root‑cause analysis.
- Provide regular updates on progress and support needed to Engineering management, including the Head of PDP and the Head of Engineering Projects.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of dashboards, tools and KPIs associated with concessions and permit processing and reporting.

- Good knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality and Project Management.
- Working knowledge of PLM and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic hands‑on approach, including use of appropriate data‑handling software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
- Subject to pre‑employment checks, including criminal record checks.
