OverviewThe PMO Engineering supports engineering, program, project and business line management to help operational teams meet cost, delivery and quality objectives, while managing risks, opportunities and performance data.
Responsibilities- Provide operational support to engineering teams to achieve cost, sales, delivery and quality targets.
- Establish standards and enforce compliance with engineering management processes.
- Organise and facilitate management processes (reviews, milestone reviews, decision and action tracking).
- Perform micro‑planning and synchronise integrated planning for projects and business lines.
- Incorporate engineering partner schedules, verify sequences and consolidate actual engineering costs.
- Consolidate technical and economic performance and report irregularities.
- Oversee risk and opportunity management performance and report irregularities.
- Handle management information: KPIs, reporting, dashboards and related documents.
- Propose decision‑making scenarios, prepare decision‑support documents.
- Coach operational teams on engineering, project, programme, work‑package and visual‑management processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support methods and tool teams to maintain business tools and the management reference system, including training.
- Contribute to experience feedback and continuous improvement of programme, project and business line management.
- Project management experience/qualification; understanding of planning/scheduling, technical & financial aspects, risks.
- Experience managing risks and opportunities for projects and PMO.
- Prioritising and managing action plans for risks and opportunities.
- Value optimisation (performance, cost, quality) and Design‑to‑Value approach.
- Experience controlling processes, reference systems and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Data management, analysis, reporting and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of problem‑solving techniques and continuous improvement methods.
- Strong time‑management and resource‑planning skills.
- Communication – clear verbal and written communication at all levels.
- Self‑motivation – initiative and high productivity with minimal direction.
- Analytical – synthesis, detail orientation and accuracy.
- Planning & Organising – set priorities and meet deadlines.
