A leading organisation is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of capital expenditure and key operating cost lines. This role will play an integral part in financial planning and analysis, delivering insightful reporting and acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

Location Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Acting as finance lead on major capital programmes, providing decision support, scenario analysis, and robust financial review packs.
  • Managing the Capex portfolio budget, forecasts, and cashflow, ensuring accurate phasing and financial integrity.
  • Preparing and reviewing business cases, conducting sensitivity analysis, and tracking benefits realisation post-implementation.
  • Leading Capex accounting processes, including WIP, capitalisation, commissioning, and impairments.
  • Taking ownership of designated Opex lines, delivering accurate month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Partnering with procurement to review supplier spend, optimise contracts, and support RFPs.
  • Producing dashboards and variance analysis, enabling clear insight into Capex and Opex performance.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to project managers and operational leaders, influencing decisions and driving accountability.
  • Delivering timely submissions to Group finance with clear variance analysis and commentary.
  • Ensuring strong financial governance, audit readiness, and compliance with policies and external audit requirements.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be working towards one, with significant hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis. They will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Advanced Excel and IT skills are essential, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.

Strong organisational and time management skills, along with energy, enthusiasm, and leadership ability, will also be key. Experience in the telecoms or technology sector, and exposure to tools such as VBA or SQL, would be advantageous.
