Cyber Security Analyst

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect critical systems and data, supporting incident response, vulnerability management and day-to-day monitoring. This position suits someone who enjoys analysing activity, identifying risk patterns and ensuring potential threats are quickly recognised and addressed.

• Monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual activity.
• Researching emerging threats and recommending mitigation measures.
• Supporting disaster recovery and contingency planning.
• Testing and evaluating security products and configurations.
• Designing or upgrading security systems.
• Using analytics tools to identify threat patterns.
• Simulating breaches to test resilience.
• Investigating alerts and providing structured incident response.
• Monitoring phishing, malware and ransomware threats.
• Supporting identity and access management monitoring.
• Recording findings and producing incident reports.
• Maintaining the information security risk register.
• Supporting internal/external audits and reviews.
• Delivering cyber-security awareness guidance to colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' technical experience in cyber security, including incident response, SIEM tools, vulnerability assessment and cloud technologies such as MS365/Azure. Strong analytical ability, clear communication skills and the capacity to work effectively under pressure are essential. Relevant certifications such as CySA+, GCIH or CCOA are desirable, alongside a proactive, diligent and ethical approach.
