High Net Worth Underwriter

An excellent opportunity to join a well-established insurance provider, known for its precision and professionalism in delivering bespoke risk solutions. As a High Net Worth Underwriter, you'll be instrumental in managing a portfolio of affluent clients, working closely with brokers and private client managers to deliver tailored insurance cover with the utmost attention to detail.

• Underwriting complex high-value personal insurance risks within delegated authority.
• Managing a portfolio of HNW clients to ensure profitability and excellent service standards.
• Developing new business through engagement with brokers and intermediaries.
• Maintaining strong relationships with brokers, internal teams, and private client managers.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
• Analyzing market trends to support strategic product development.
• Collaborating with Claims, Risk, and Actuarial teams on risk management.
• Supporting improvements to underwriting processes and guidelines.
• Mentoring junior underwriters to promote professional development.
• Producing and reviewing underwriting reports to guide strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in underwriting high-net-worth personal lines insurance, ideally supported by a relevant professional qualification such as DIP CII. A strong knowledge of the HNW market, client expectations, and specialist products is essential. You should possess excellent analytical and decision-making abilities, with a client-focused and collaborative approach. Familiarity with the Channel Islands regulatory environment would be advantageous.
