Legal Counsel

This Legal Counsel role offers the chance to work at the forefront of regulatory law, advising on complex issues that shape the financial services sector. From drafting legislation and policies to supporting enforcement cases and litigation, it's a position that combines technical expertise with real impact, giving you the opportunity to influence outcomes across the industry.

• Advising on statutory requirements, drafting correspondence, and reviewing agreements.
• Supporting disclosure, privilege reviews, and supervisory problem cases.
• Drafting and amending legislation, rules, regulations, and policies.
• Providing training to staff and supporting internal project boards.
• Assisting with litigation and court proceedings, including drafting and reporting.
• Liaising with regulators, licensees, and external stakeholders.
• Representing the organisation at industry meetings and events.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer holding a current practising certificate in the UK, Commonwealth, or another common law jurisdiction. They will demonstrate strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to balance regulatory demands with pragmatic decision-making. Experience in financial services or regulatory environments would be an advantage.
