You're a civil engineer who wants your hands in the plans and your name on the client list. This role lets you do both.

Our client is looking for a true seller-doer to drive site civil and land development projects from first sketch through construction documents, while becoming a trusted face to public and private clients.

You'll be the one shaping grading, drainage, and utility designs in Civil 3D, steering schedules and budgets, and being the voice clients call first.

And as you deliver, you'll also help grow the book of business and mentor the next wave of engineers.

What You'll Work On

You'll sit at the center of land development and site civil projects with both technical and client-facing responsibility.

• Site civil and land development projects from concept to construction
• Stormwater and drainage layouts
• Water and sewer utility plans
• Construction document packages in Civil 3D
• Public-sector-oriented site projects
• Multi-stakeholder client and agency coordination
• Internal project delivery and production workflows

You'll be living in Civil 3D, turning your designs into clean, buildable construction documents.

The core challenge: balance deep technical design with real ownership of clients, projects, and growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and contributing to the design of site civil and land development projects from concept through construction
• Producing and overseeing grading plans, drainage layouts, and utility designs using Civil 3D
• Developing and reviewing full construction document sets for site civil projects
• Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client and agency expectations
• Ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards and requirements
• Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships across your project portfolio
• Supporting, guiding, and mentoring junior engineering staff
• Contributing to proposals and pursuit strategies for new civil/land development work
• Supporting business development efforts with a seller-doer mindset
• Helping bring in new work, with a particular focus on public sector opportunities
• Collaborating with multiple offices to deliver high-quality, coordinated project outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Solid background in site civil and land development design
• Proficiency in Civil 3D with the ability to independently produce construction documents
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Track record of building and maintaining client relationships
• Experience or strong interest in business development with a seller-doer mindset
• Public sector project experience is a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills in both technical and client-facing settings
• Leadership aptitude with a desire to support and mentor junior staff
