Draftsman-2D

Our client, a well-established construction company based in Kuwait, is expanding its operations into KSA. They are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Draftsman to join their architectural team, for their projects in Dammam Saudi Arabia.

• Create technical drawings for homes, commercial buildings, and other structures from architects' sketches.
• Incorporate exact measurements, building codes, construction details, and enter data to generate 2-D design models using Auto CAD.
• Analyze building specifications, codes, and sites.
• Print CAD drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.
• Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
• Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with Auto CAD.
• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
• Enter CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 2-D models and renderings.
• Prepare drawings, charts, and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques.
• Revise drawing when and as needed.
• Visit construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
• Collaborate with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
• Participate to the coordination of the design.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.

• Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or any similar field.
• 2 to 10 years of experience as a Draftsman, working in the Construction Industry
• Excellent proficiency and command of English is required.
• Proficient and efficient in the use of Auto CAD.
• Solid experience when it comes to extracting quantities from the drawings (areas, surface, volume).
• Solid background working on projects for the construction (Building, Interior Design, Landscaping studies).
• Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Dynamic, motivated, and willing to learn and grow.
• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
