Job Description Summary

Alle Tätigkeiten im Zusammenhang mit der Verbesserung der Servicetechnologie unter Einbeziehung von Kundendaten oder der Erfassung der Zuverlässigkeit, Verfügbarkeit, Wartung, Sicherheit und anderer Leistungsparameter von Motoren/Produkten. Umfasst auf Stundenbasis beschäftigte, tarifliche und außertarifliche Mitarbeiter sowie Managerfunktionen, die ausschließlich für diese Tätigkeiten verantwortlich sind. Beeinflusst den Abteilungsbetrieb und ist verantwortlich für die Planung/Ausführung. Die Rolle hat eine gewisse Autonomie, konzentriert sich jedoch auf die Ausführung von Aktivitäten innerhalb einer operativen Disziplin, die durch funktionale Standardpraktiken und
-verfahren abgedeckt wird. Möglicherweise ist ein gewisses Urteilsvermögen erforderlich, dies erfolgt jedoch in der Regel unter Anleitung.

• Support upcoming Rotor Life Extension volume ramp in GEMTEC service center
• Develop and industrialize new repair process technology to be implemented in repair strategy
• Author and own Repair Engineering Instructions as well as fixture and tooling drawings
• Interface with MPE and Design engineering and lead design reviews for repair development
• Collaborate with Product Services to establish Rotor Life Extension operational history and support Root Cause Analysis studies
• Lead projects to directly impact productivity and fulfillment efforts
• Work with RDC and service center engineers to perform repair process technology jugular testing in the RDC or in the shop
• Establish and maintain inspection criteria
• Support component related readiness to serve needs for global service centers
• Substantiation of service centers repair process qualifications/certifications
• Drive a culture of one Gas Power team by partnering with adjacent organizations/stakeholders
• Deliver operational commitments and key process indicator targets
• Improve quality, delivery, and cost of GE products within team’s scope
• Implement lean methodologies including standard work, standard product, and kaizen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a Manufacturing/Design environment
• Travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (~10%)

• Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Experience in Gas Turbine rotor manufacture, design, or repair
• Lean training or equivalent quality training
• Strong mechanical design and analytical background
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Ability to drive projects to completion
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
