Lead Engineer - Static Equipment; Design

In this role, the Static Equipment Lead Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of static equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with various departments to deliver high-quality solutions for static equipment, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems.

Your role will include enhancing equipment reliability, managing projects, and driving the technical direction of static equipment initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in static equipment engineering and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team in the design, analysis, and maintenance of static equipment.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, industry codes, and safety regulations.
• Optimize the performance and reliability of static equipment through innovative engineering solutions.
• Manage projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide solutions for equipment failures and performance issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design and operational requirements.
• Participate in safety assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, design packages, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in static equipment design experience in large-scale petrochemical, refinery, or natural gas processing projects.
• Possess in-depth and comprehensive understanding and practical application experience of Saudi Aramco project execution workflows and engineering standards.
• Extensive knowledge of static equipment design, maintenance, and inspection practices.
• Familiarity with ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1/2, API 650/620/660, TEMA, and NACE MR0175 design codes and standards.
• Proficient in the design, calculation, and material selection for various types of static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and storage tanks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
• Experience with engineering software and tools for static equipment analysis.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
