Job OverviewWe are seeking experienced PAUT Corrosion Mapping Technicians with a strong background in advanced ultrasonic testing methods. The ideal candidates will be responsible for conducting corrosion mapping inspections using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) techniques to assess material degradation, identify corrosion defects, and ensure the structural integrity of industrial assets in compliance with international standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) for corrosion mapping on pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, and other critical components.
Analyze ultrasonic data and generate accurate corrosion mapping reports.
Calibrate, verify, and maintain ultrasonic testing equipment according to applicable codes and client procedures.
Interpret indications and evaluate corrosion severity in line with ASME, API, and ASTM standards.
Prepare detailed inspection documentation, including scan plans, calibration records, and final reports.
Ensure adherence to company safety policies and quality control standards during all inspection activities.
Collaborate with inspection engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain organized inspection records and data storage for traceability.
Participate in client audits, technical discussions, and project review meetings when required.
Provide feedback on inspection outcomes and recommend preventive maintenance measures.
Minimum Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or relevant engineering discipline.Certifications:
Valid ASNT Level II / PCN Level II in PAUT and UT Thickness Measurement.Additional certification in TOFD or Corrosion Mapping Techniques will be an added advantage.
Proven hands on experience in PAUT corrosion mapping within oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical environments.
Strong understanding of ultrasonic inspection principles, wave physics, and corrosion mechanisms.
Proficiency in PAUT data acquisition and analysis software (e.g., Omniscan, Tomo View, or similar).
Ability to interpret and evaluate corrosion maps accurately.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
Strong problem solving, reporting, and documentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
