Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at a petrochemical plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems critical to the safe and efficient operation of our petrochemical processes. This role demands a strong understanding of process control systems and safety standards specific to the petrochemical industry.

• Design and develop instrumentation systems tailored for petrochemical processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and analyzers.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure instrumentation reliability and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with process engineers and control room operators to optimize process performance and safety.
• Implement modifications and upgrades to instrumentation systems as required.
• Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including API, ISA, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, calibration records, and instrument history logs.
• Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to instrumentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• +10 years experience in instrumentation engineering within a petrochemical or oil & gas refining environment.
• Strong knowledge of process control systems, DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ISA-84, API, and IEC.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, P&IDs, and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Certification in instrumentation or control systems (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).
• Experience with hazardous area instrumentation and explosion‑proof equipment.
• Knowledge of safety shutdown systems (SIS) and emergency response protocols.
