We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Apps DBA to join our dynamic team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Oracle applications and databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and maintain the integrity of our Oracle environments. As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business applications, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.

Perform regular system monitoring and tuning to optimize database performance and resource usage.

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards.

Manage database backups and recovery processes to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and upgrades.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Document database configurations, procedures, and policies for future reference.

Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices to enhance system performance.

Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior DBA staff.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure readiness in case of system failures.

Preferred Candidate

Proven experience as an Oracle Apps DBA with a strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

A team player who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly.

Strong analytical skills to assess complex database issues and provide effective solutions.

Experience with Oracle database tools and utilities, including RMAN, SQL
* Plus, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and best practices for Oracle databases.

Certifications related to Oracle database management are a plus.
