Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for a part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) to join a dynamic finance team in Darlington. This role offers excellent development opportunities, hybrid working and the chance to take ownership of divisional accounting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end P&L and balance sheets for your assigned division.

• Post revenue, accrual, and prepayment journals accurately and on time.

• Produce management accounts with KPIs, including revenue and margin analysis.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support budgets, forecasts and ad-hoc analysis.

• Deliver clear and insightful financial information to support business performance.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified AAT or working towards CIMA/ACCA.

• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.

• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.

• Organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to competing priorities.
