Payroll Specialist – Swedish Legislation
Remote – Darlington  
Circa £39 per hour
Initially 5-month contract (long-term thereafter)
37.5 hours per week

Certain Advantage is working in partnership with a global organisation to recruit a skilled Payroll Specialist with expertise in Swedish payroll legislation. This is a critical role supporting payroll operations, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for Swedish sites in line with statutory regulations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to SOx controls.
Respond to internal and external queries related to tax, social security, illness, and insurance, including support during audits.
Engage in continuous improvement projects with internal departments to streamline payroll processes.
Maintain and update documentation, workflows, and procedure manuals to ensure compliance and consistency.
Participate in virtual and on-site customer meetings across Germany to address payroll-related queries and build client confidence.
Your Background:

Professional-level Swedish language skills (spoken and written).
Strong working knowledge of Swedish legislation and applicable European payroll standards.
Hands-on experience with SAP payroll systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage, analyse, and validate data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
