The Role – Designer / CAD Technician (Facade / Cladding / Curtain Wall)Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of façade projects, the company is seeking an experienced Designer / CAD Technician to join their specialist team.
This role will focus on the design and detailing of façade systems including cladding, curtain walling and associated architectural elements.
You’ll play a key role in translating architectural concepts into fully coordinated, construction‑ready technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed design and fabrication drawings for façades, cladding and glazing systems
- Work across RIBA Stages 3–5
- Ensure all designs comply with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) standards and relevant codes
- Produce accurate elevation plans, section details and layout drawings using AutoCAD and/ or Revit
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to resolve design challenges
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical compatibility and cost efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to value engineering initiatives
- Proven experience in façade design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD;
Revit or other BIM tools is a strong advantage - Solid understanding of UK building regulations and façade system performance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
