A Civil / Highways contractor are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work within their Highways team responsible for a D&B Highways project within the southern region.

They are successful in delivering a number of high profile projects and to accommodate available workload and future expansion we have exciting opportunities for Project / contacts Managers to work on projects within Highways, highways frameworks and infrastructure.

Requirements

· Experience in working in a variety of civil engineering sectors including roads/highways

HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering

· Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative

Responsibilities

To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction where possible

To plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner

To coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division

To ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely

To jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff

To liase with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients

To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance reputation and look to further business

To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager

Ability to manage all personnel within your control professionally and effectively
