Housing Officer (Intensive Housing Management) FTC

Join the YMCA Thames Gateway Group as a Housing Officer (Intensive Housing Management) on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This role supports young people and children in care to sustain their tenancies and achieve independence.

As an Intensive Housing Management Officer you will:

• Carry out needs and risk assessments, and develop sustainment plans.
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with occupancy agreements.
• Manage rent accounts and maintain accurate record‑keeping.
• Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required.

• Experience supporting young people in a housing, care or residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and the challenges faced by young people.
• Excellent communication, record‑keeping and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
• A qualification in youth work, housing or a related area is desirable.

• Contract Type: 6 Months Fixed‑term contract
• Working Pattern:
  Full‑time (Rota Monday to Sunday 08:00‑16:00/14:00‑22:00)
