Care Assistant

We are recruiting Care and Support Assistants to join the team at our newest development, Mewstone Place in Dartmouth, Devon. Mewstone Place is our latest Retirement Living Plus development, consisting of 61 apartments with excellent on‑site facilities, all set within beautiful grounds. It's an exciting time to join as we open the development and welcome new homeowners!

Hourly rate: £13.70 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends.
Hours: 20 hours per week.

As a Care & Support Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents, enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Your duties include supporting and encouraging residents to take part in activities that support their health and wellbeing, helping them book appointments, arrange transport and, where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with shopping.

• Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience in a care or support environment.
• Passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people, and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy setting.
• Driven to deliver excellent customer service.
• Willing to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification; consideration given to alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
