Care Supervisor
McCarthy Stone is recruiting Care Supervisors for our new retirement living development, Mewstone Place, Dartmouth, Devon. Mewstone Place is a 61‑apartment community with on‑site facilities set within beautiful grounds. The role is a key part of opening the development and welcoming new homeowners.
About the RoleYou will support the management and smooth running of a thriving community of active and independent older people, helping them live their best lives in elegant private apartments. You will manage the development’s security, oversee the Care and Support teams, coordinate community activities and lead by example.
Responsibilities- Manage the security of the development and look after the safety and wellbeing of homeowners.
- Oversee the Care and Support teams.
- Co‑ordinate and facilitate activities that strengthen the community spirit within the development.
- Provide emergency support during night shifts (23:00–07:00). Night shifts are 21:30–09:00. Day shifts are 08:45–16:30 or 16:15–09:30.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is essential; NVQ Level 3 is preferred.
- Warm, friendly, organised, self‑motivated with experience in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
- Driven to grow skills, lead by example and think on feet.
- Committed to improving the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
£15.75 per hour day rate, £12.24 per hour sleeping night rate. Receive an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
Hours33.5 hours per week – mix of days and sleeping night shifts.
