Senior Reliability Engineer at Aversan Inc.

Responsibilities- Manage and mature our safety processes, ensuring the safety and compliance of delivered products.
- Assess both hardware and software to ensure mission success and uphold safety standards.
- Conduct preliminary hazard analyses (PHA), functional hazard analyses (FHA), subsystem hazard analyses (SSHA), and produce safety assessment reports (SAR) in accordance with MIL‑STD‑882E and equivalent global safety standards.
- Act as Program Safety Manager for key initiatives and programs, providing guidance on safety aspects and supporting smaller projects.
- Prepare presentations and participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, technical interchange meetings, and various safety review meetings with internal teams and external customers.
- Support the development and maintenance of system safety documentation to meet customer and contractual requirements.
- Lead system safety engineering working groups to implement safety standards.
- Collaborate with system engineers to identify and create Safety Functional Requirements.
- Review and provide input to internal and acceptance test procedures for adherence to system safety requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and expansion of our system safety processes.
- Evaluate and ensure that products and systems comply with environmental regulations and standards, including REACH and RoHS.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in system safety engineering.
- In‑depth knowledge of System Safety Standards and design principles.
- Experience with hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation, and associated documentation.
- Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑882E, specifically software LOR.
- Experience with Fault Tree Analysis and other industry SSE tools and techniques.
- Experience using other relevant industry and/or range safety standards.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
