  • Determine appropriate sizes for equipment based on process requirements and prepare data sheets detailing specifications and requirements of each piece of equipment.
  • Perform calculations to determine the optimal size for process lines, considering factors such as flow rate, pressure drop, and temperature.
  • Prepare data sheets for instruments used in the process, including instrument specifications, operating conditions, and maintenance requirements.
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to represent the flow of materials through the process, identifying major equipment, process conditions, and flow rates.
  • Markup Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to reflect changes in the process or equipment, including adding, removing, or modifying symbols and labels as necessary.
  • Conduct studies to understand and improve the process by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
