We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week on a three-rotational shift pattern, ensuring you have variety and balance in your working schedule.
Shift Patterns- Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 07.00am – 3.00pm
- Mid Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3.00pm – 11.00pm and Friday 10.30pm finish
- Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 11.00pm – 07.00am
Up to £46,000 (depending on experience), plus shift allowance, overtime, annual bonus, and a Cummins Reward Scheme.

As a Maintenance Technician, your role will be pivotal to keeping our operations running smoothly and safely. You’ll:
- Solve Problems:
Engage in fault finding and repair of plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. - Collaborate:
Work closely with Operation’s Supervisors to set priorities and manage your workload effectively. - Stay Safe:
Adhere to safety procedures, including working in confined spaces and at heights, and follow the LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) process. - Innovate:
Raise requisitions for equipment spares and propose solutions that balance cost, quality, and delivery.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A recognized electrical or mechanical apprenticeship (essential).
- Experience with machine tools like ball screws and spindle rebuilds.
- Knowledge of Siemens S5/S7 PLCs or Sinumerik One control systems (desirable but not mandatory).
- A passion for learning new skills and troubleshooting complex systems.
