CNC Machine Operator – Cummins Europe
Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator and shape the future of manufacturing. We’re looking for a skilled individual to join our Blockline Support Team in Daventry, UK. If you’re driven by precision, teamwork, and innovation, this role is for you.
Job type:
Part-time (37.5 hrs per week, 100% on‑site).
- Sunday to Thursday, 11.00 pm – 7.00 am (night shift)

- Operate advanced CNC machines to craft high‑precision cylinder blocks, ensuring flawless quality and adherence to detailed specifications.
- Promote a safe working environment by following rigorous health & safety guidelines and contributing to proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with a skilled team, fostering open communication and mutual support to meet production goals and improve processes.
- Lead continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean work area, perform routine maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability.
- Consistently meet production targets and cycle times through expertise in manual and automated systems.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) to manage quality and minimize production costs.
- Communicate clearly, tailoring information to different audiences.
- Take ownership of tasks, address challenges, and deliver results.
- Advocate for health & safety and maintain a hazard‑free environment.
- Apply knowledge of CNC machining and embrace continuous improvement.
- Value diversity and foster a team environment that leverages different perspectives.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent with strong math and technical knowledge.
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or engineering is highly advantageous.
- Preferred experience operating CNC machines in automotive or engineering fields; training provided.
- Comfortable using PCs or handheld terminals; effective use of quality standards and safety practices.
