Level 3 Maintenance Fitter Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing business that produces advanced heater cable systems for use in the energy sector. They are now seeking a skilled Level 3 Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Deeside. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery, reducing downtime and supporting the wider manufacturing process.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time served Mechanical Maintenance professional with strong experience in industrial equipment, preventative maintenance and problem solving within a production environment.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm Salary:
Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities - Support the production team by ensuring all manufacturing machinery is well maintained and fully operational - Create and maintain an asset register and implement a preventative maintenance programme - Minimise unplanned downtime through effective troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities - Ensure equipment is configured safely and correctly for upcoming production work - Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation - Take ownership of assigned tasks and work independently using initiative and sound judgement - Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance and plan plant shutdowns - Manage critical and non critical spares, including sourcing, organisation and cataloguing Requirement - Time served background in a relevant mechanical maintenance discipline - Recognised qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC or similar - Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment (aiming for ten years or more) - Strong mechanical knowledge including bearings, seals, lubrication systems, motors, gearboxes and heat exchangers - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, method statements and risk assessments - Confident using modern IT systems including MS Office - Clear written and spoken communication skills - Machine shop experience is desirable - Full UK driving licence Why This Role Could Be Right for You - Join a global organisation working with advanced engineered products - Key hands on role with influence over production performance - Opportunity to shape and implement preventative maintenance processes - Stable on site role in a growing manufacturing environment - Supportive and collaborative team culture
