Revenue Accounting Specialist (ASC 606 | Clarity Systems)

We are hiring an experienced Revenue Accounting professional to support the global operations of a prestigious Life Sciences / Healthcare client. This role requires strong expertise in ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and hands-on experience with Clarity Systems (Clarity tool).

Role Overview

As part of the Revenue Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, billing compliance, and accounts receivable management while supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Review cash applications, account reconciliations, and AR aging analysis
- Manage customer accounts and drive timely collections
- Prepare and post recurring, adjusting, accrual, reclassification, and correcting journal entries
- Perform revenue recognition under ASC 606, including:
- Identification of performance obligations
- Transaction price allocation
- Revenue scheduling
- Review and interpret customer contracts and legal agreements to ensure compliant billing and revenue treatment
- Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with Sales, Legal, and cross-functional teams
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment statuses
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and internal controls across AR and revenue processes
- Prepare and maintain AR reports using advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards)
- Support accurate and efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Apply strong analytical skills to support high-quality financial reporting

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Collections, preferably with a Big 4 firm (audit background strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Clarity Systems / Clarity tool
- Experience working with major ERPs such as Oracle, Net Suite, or similar
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards);
Visio/flowchart tools a plus

- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent)
- Prior exposure to Life Sciences / Healthcare / Pharma industry highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn
