Senior Business Intelligence Developer Domo

Position: Senior Business Intelligence Developer with Domo
The Domo Developer is responsible for building scalable dashboards, datasets, and data pipelines within the Domo platform. This role requires strong SQL skills (MySQL-based Domo SQL), ETL experience, data modeling, and business intelligence expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience with Domo Data Flows, Magic ETL, Beast Modes, connectors, and the design of high-impact visualizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Domo Platform Development

• Build and maintain Domo Cards, Pages, and Dashboards

• Design interactive visualizations and KPI dashboards

• Optimize dashboard performance and usability

2. Data Modeling & ETL Development

• Create and manage Magic ETL 2.0 flows

• Build MySQL Data Flows using Domo SQL

• Perform joins, unions, aggregations, and transformations

• Implement business rules and calculations using Beast Mode

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and validation across datasets

3. SQL & Scripting

• Write clean, performant SQL queries (MySQL 5.6 syntax)

• Build and optimize stored logic inside Data Flows

• Conduct profiling, troubleshooting, and optimization

• Work with APIs, Python, or data scripts when needed

4. Data Integration

• Connect to external systems using Domo connectors (Salesforce, Azure, Google, AWS, SQL Server, etc.)

• Create schedules for data ingestion and refresh workflows

• Manage dataset permissions, governance, and data lineage

5. Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements

• Translate business KPIs into measurable metrics

• Build executive dashboards, operational reports, and self-service analytics

• Troubleshoot issues, ensure accuracy, and provide insights

6. Administration & Governance (Optional if Senior Role)

• Manage Domo user access, groups, and governance

• Monitor Domo instance performance and dataset health

• Assist with platform-level configurations and optimization

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 3–8+ years of Business Intelligence or Data Engineering experience

• Hands-on Domo experience:
Magic ETL, Data Flows, Beast Modes, Connectors

• Strong SQL skills (MySQL or similar SQL dialects)

• Experience with data modeling, KPIs, metrics, and visual design

• Ability to optimize queries, datasets, and dashboards

• Experience integrating data from cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
