SAP Data Archiving Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Data Archiving & ILM Consultant to manage and support data and document archiving, retention, and migration processes across enterprise systems. The role involves maintaining SAP ILM configurations, troubleshooting archiving issues, managing document storage through Archive Link, and supporting Windows file server administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAP ILM and document archiving experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to incident management and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Data & Document Archiving

• Perform end-to-end SAP data and document archiving using ILM and Archive Link.

• Activate and deactivate archive infostructure (AIS) and execute sweeper/catch-up archiving for new objects.

• Configure unstructured document storage using OAC0, OAC2, and OAC3 transaction codes.

• Ensure archived documents are securely stored, retrievable, and compliant with retention policies.

• Support ILM Retention and Warehouse Management testing (Write/Delete/Retrieve).

• Coordinate with business users for document retrieval and verification during audits or divestments.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 3–6 years of experience in SAP Data and Document Archiving, ILM, and Retention Management, Classical Data Archiving

• Strong knowledge of SAP Archive Link and unstructured data configuration (OAC0, OAC2, OAC3).

• Experience with data retention, destruction, legal hold, and audit compliance.

• Familiarity with Windows file server administration and access management.

• Working knowledge of Service Now and Azure Dev Ops (ADO).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in onshore–offshore and cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
