• At least 12+ Years of experience of Database Developer

• Teradata SQL, DDL/DML, BTEQ Scripts, Performance Tuning, Load Utilities (TPT/Fast Load/Multi Load/TPump)

Responsibility
- Candidate should be stationed locally in Delhi/NCR and open to work 5 days a week from client office (Vaishali-UP)

Primary Skill:
Teradata SQL, DDL/DML, BTEQ Scripts, Performance Tuning, Load Utilities (TPT/Fast Load/Multi Load/TPump)

Secondary Skill:
Basic understanding of RBAC, Compliance, Monitoring concepts

Database Developer – Teradata

• B.E. /

B. Tech / M. Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Equivalent.

• 7+ years of experience in database development, design, and optimization, with exposure to working on data structures and database changes in enterprise systems.

• Expertise in SQL programming and query optimization for high-performance data access, with strong hands-on on Teradata.

• Working experience with Teradata tools/utilities such as Teradata Studio, BTEQ, and load utilities (TPT/Fast Load/Multi Load/TPump).

• Hands-on in Teradata SQL/DDL/DML, EXPLAIN plan analysis, statistics management, indexing/partitioning awareness, and troubleshooting (spool, skew, locking).

• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture

• Ability to execute end-to-end Change Requests (CRs)-impact analysis, development, unit testing, deployment support, and post-release stabilization.

• Experience with ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources.

• Experience on latest Vantage features and on Vantage Analytical libraries

• Exposure to data security practices (encryption/decryption, role-based access control) and regulatory compliance standards is preferred.

Nice to have:

• Vantage Data Engineering certification

• Experience/exposure to SAS DI jobs (understanding job flows/logic for support or migration) & Data Modelling.

Responsibility

• Work on Teradata database development tasks including table changes, views, queries, BTEQ scripts, and deployment activities as part of CR deliveries.

• Support performance tuning by analysing EXPLAIN plans, managing statistics, indexing/partitioning awareness and improving queries to reduce spool/skew/locking issues.

• Writing Custom Functions / Stored Procedures

• Develop optimized data models, indexes, views, and queries to ensure fast data retrieval and efficient storage, especially for frequently changing data.

• Assist with designing or modifying database structures (tables/indexes/partitions) based on evolving requirements and performance needs.

• Build and maintain ETL-related database components to support data integration from multiple sources and ensure consistency.

• Perform planning, development, unit testing, deployment support, and troubleshooting while adhering to data standards and Data Protection Act requirements.
