Economist

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to anchor and expand the research

vertical in one of the key departments. The role involves conceptualising, developing,

and delivering high-quality research outputs, policy advocacy, and leadership engagements with government and industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating data-driven insights, coordinating research inputs across departments, and leveraging advanced tools — including AI-based

research and analytical platforms — to enhance the quality and speed of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop and manage a structured research framework to support the department on

cross-cutting policy and industry themes.

-Conduct macroeconomic, sectoral, and thematic analyses to inform policy

submissions, speeches, and position papers.

-Translate complex data and policy issues into clear, evidence-based narratives and

recommendations.

-Liaise with sectoral and functional departments to consolidate research inputs

and ensure consistency across publications and policy notes.

-Build a repository of policy briefs, analytical notes, and thematic papers on national

and global economic trends.

-Identify and track emerging themes shaping India’s industry, such as digital

transformation, supply chain resilience, and sustainability transitions.

-Use modern AI and data analytics tools for faster literature reviews, data

visualization, and trend forecasting.

-Innovate new research methods to enhance content depth, accuracy, and

presentation.

-Prepare high-quality content for speeches, talking points, and briefings for senior

leadership.

Desired Profile

-5–7 years of professional experience in economic research, policy analysis,

consulting, or think tank environments.

-Strong grasp of India’s industrial, economic, and policy landscape.

-Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise, actionable

insights.

-Proficiency in using research and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Power BI,

Excel, data visualization platforms).

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write for both technical

and executive audiences.

-Experience in managing or contributing to multi-stakeholder projects with tight

timelines.
