Essential
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Statistics / Biostatistics / Applied Statistics / Data Science or closely related disciplines, demonstrated experience in statistical analysis of population, environmental, or health-related data
Desirable
Qualifications:
Experience in survey design, sampling strategies, and index construction (e.g., vulnerability or resilience indices)
Prior exposure to climate change, environmental risk, vulnerability, or adaptation studies
Ability to handle large datasets including household surveys, secondary climate datasets, or census-linked data
Proficiency in statistical software such as R / STATA / SPSS / Python
Experience in mixed-methods research, including collaboration with qualitative teams
Experience in research writing, including reports, manuscripts, and policy briefs
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the quantitative and statistical components of the study
Design and validate survey instruments, sampling frameworks, and data collection protocols
Construct and analyze climate vulnerability, risk, and adaptation indices at community and household levels
Integrate primary survey data with secondary climate and socio-demographic datasets
Perform descriptive, inferential, and multivariate analyses to identify key vulnerability drivers
Support triangulation with qualitative findings for a robust mixed-methods analysis
Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and ethical data management
Prepare statistical analysis reports, tables, figures, and visualizations
Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, policy briefs, and dissemination workshops
Support the Principal Investigator in presentations to academic, policy, and community stakeholders
