Production Manager - Golden West Baking Company – C.H. Guenther

• Responsible for all aspects of the Production Department, including following safety policies, achieving food safety and product quality requirements, and converting raw materials into finished products within cost targets.
• Manages supervisors and team members in the consistent running of the various food processes through coaching and instruction.
• Facilitates all necessary training to support delivering the required KPIs.
• Ensures consistent execution of policies and procedures through Team Leaders and cooperation with other managers.
• Plays a key role in meeting the production schedule to deliver service expectations, communicating and leading discussions to resolve scheduling conflicts caused by downtime, test runs, sanitation, and other obstacles.
• Develops and manages the departmental budget for material usage, labor, supplies, and training.
• Develops and implements continuous improvement tools and methods (Lean, Six Sigma), mentoring other employees in improvement projects and promoting a structured problem‑solving approach.
• Ensures key performance indicators for safety, quality, service, and cost are met and shares operational goals and guidelines with the Production Supervisors.
• Partners with HR, Safety, Maintenance and Quality to ensure all requirements are met.
• Opens to receiving performance feedback and reacts positively to it.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
