Responsibilities & Duties: This is intended to be an outline, not an exhaustive list of responsibilities:
Housekeeping and cleaning both inside and outside of the buildingCleaning and maintaining washrooms, lunchroom, parking lot, windows, and general cleaning of grounds and building areasLaundry and vacuumingOperation of floor scrubbing equipmentSafe use and storage of cleaning chemicals, as required.Adherence to all safety/quality policies and proceduresNote:
This position will work in both Production and Sanitation (Housekeeping). Flexibility in adjusting schedules and start times on short notice is required for all shift coverage. Schedules are based on operational needs and flexibility is required for scheduling purposes. Position will cover schedule and unscheduled absences in Sanitation.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Residential or Commercial cleaningHave good attendance recordWork with a sense of urgencyHave achieved a high level of trust in order to work independently with minimal directionPrevious experience in a similar role is considered an asset.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attendance record, demonstrating reliability.Be comfortable working with various cleaning agentsShould be someone who has completed their studies/PR/Citizenship/on Work-permitSchedule:
Shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday and 10.5 hours in lengthSchedules are posted 2 weeks in advance, no fixed Hrs. or days.PM Shift (start times will vary every day between 11 am - 11:45 pm)Example (for a PM shift if we schedule you at 2:15 PM your shift will end at 12:45 AM)Benefits:
An extended health care package including dental will be applicable after the successful completion of your probationary period.Employer contribution to Union pension plan.Night Premium is $1.5 (for Shift that are starting between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
