Relief PM Housekeeping​/Sanitation

The Original Cakerie is Canada's leading and largest privately-owned frozen dessert manufacturer. We have been experiencing exponential growth and as a result, we are able to offer Full Time Relief PM Production Housekeeping/Sanitation positions.

• Housekeeping and cleaning both inside and outside of the building
• Cleaning and maintaining washrooms, lunchroom, parking lot, windows, and general cleaning of grounds and building areas
• Laundry and vacuuming
• Operation of floor scrubbing equipment
• Safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals, as required.
• Adherence to all safety/quality policies and procedures

Note:

This position will work in both Production and Sanitation (Housekeeping). Flexibility in adjusting schedules and start times on short notice is required for all shift coverage. Schedules are based on operational needs and flexibility is required for scheduling purposes. Position will cover schedule and unscheduled absences in Sanitation.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Residential or Commercial cleaning
• Have good attendance record
• Work with a sense of urgency
• Have achieved a high level of trust in order to work independently with minimal direction
• Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attendance record, demonstrating reliability.
• Be comfortable working with various cleaning agents
• Should be someone who has completed their studies/PR/Citizenship/on Work-permit

• Shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday and 10.5 hours in length
• Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance, no fixed Hrs. or days.
• PM Shift (start times will vary every day between 11 am - 11:45 pm)
• Example (for a PM shift if we schedule you at 2:15 PM your shift will end at 12:45 AM)

• An extended health care package including dental will be applicable after the successful completion of your probationary period.
• Employer contribution to Union pension plan.
• Night Premium is $1.5 (for Shift that are starting between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
