- Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years Tasks - Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
- Fit and weld parts together
- Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment
- Install and test piping systems Support for newcomers and refugees
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition Support for youths
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Support for Veterans
- Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market Support for Indigenous people
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Supports for visible minorities
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
