R&D Technician
Position
We are looking for a dedicated R&D Technician responsible for conducting tests using electrochemical cells. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting performance tests on electrochemical cells, analysing data, and analytical chemistry efforts. The Technician will be fully responsible for testing, analysing data and providing updates to the team. This role is critical to the success of our research and development efforts across a range of technical projects.

- Conducting experiments on bench scale electrochemical cells
- Preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests and advising and coordinating test procedures
- Support R&D projects involving process development and material characterization
- Determining chemical and physical properties and compositions of solutions
- Identifying and solving process and equipment problems
- Assist in the development and optimization of analytical protocols for new materials and processes
- Perform regular calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support the development and optimization of processes or products
- Conferring with scientists and engineers to analyze, interpret, and develop tests
- Writing technical reports and preparing standards and specifications for processes, tests, and products
- Maintaining laboratory instruments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and purchasing new laboratory supplies
- Evaluating and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards
Salary range for this position will be $65k – $90k depending on experience and skills.
Required Education, Skills and Experience- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening shifts and weekends
- Associate degree in chemical technology or related fields is preferred
- Hands‑on experience with instrumental and wet analytical techniques
- Experience in chemical analysis and electrochemical cells
- Self‑motivated, proactive, flexible and passionate about learning
- Willing to be hands‑on
- Ability to interact with a wide range of scientists and engineers
- Experience dealing with electrochemical testing and durability testing of electrochemical components
- Person of high integrity and credibility
- Proactive, hands‑on and able to take direction independently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self‑motivated, flexible and passionate about learning
- Ability and desire to contribute to and work with a multidisciplinary team
- Work well under pressure
