Employer: International Logistics and Freight Forwarding Company

Location: Delta, BC (Annacis Island)

Starting Date: ASAP

Work hours: 8AM to 4 PM (30 min. lunch break), Monday to Friday

Compensation: Starting from $45,000 – 60,000 (DOE) plus bonus subject to company discretion

Benefits: Extend Health (Dental and vision), RRSP, LTD, Life Insurance and AD&D

Vacation: 16 days (first four years), 20 days (five years and above)

• Receiving orders from clients
• Arranging Ocean freight bookings
• Completing trucking arrangements
• Documentation, billing, tracing, and some quoting
• General customer service
• Other duties as required

• Experience working (or education) in freight forwarding and/or ocean carrier sector preferred
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required on a daily basis
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Japanese (business level)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of Cargowise an asset, but not a requirement
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• A high level of mental alertness and urgency is required
• Ability to build relationships in person, via phone and by e-mail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resourceful and able to multi-task and respond to a dynamic work environment
