CC7 Europe B.V. is offering an exciting internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in a university in the Netherlands, specializing in Translation, Interpreting, or Linguistics. As an Intern Translator (Chinese–English), you will support cross-cultural communication between Chinese- and English-speaking teams, vendors, and partners.

You will gain hands‑on experience in technical translation and interpretation within an international EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment, contributing to the success of large-scale industrial and energy projects across Europe. The role offers a dynamic learning experience where you can apply your linguistic skills to real‑world business and engineering contexts while developing professional competencies in document translation, terminology management, and multicultural communication.

Your new challenge will include:

• Provide interpreting services between Mandarin Chinese and English for meetings with vendors, affiliated companies and partners.
• Perform Written Translation and Proofreading between Simplified Chinese and English, including work reports, technical documents and E‑mails, with a quick turnover.
• Use machine translation tools (DeepL, Youdao, Google Translate) and translation memory software (Trados Studio) to ensure consistency of translation within documents and improve efficiency.
• Retain and develop knowledge in the specialist areas of translation and maintain a glossary.
• Manage translation projects on your own.

Abilities:

• Consecutive interpreting
• Written translation
• Simultaneous interpreting ability is an advantage
• A good understanding of the culture of People’s Republic of China
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management skills
• Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of chemical engineering, petrochemical engineering, oil and gas engineering, EPC projects execution (Preferred, not mandatory)

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) and English (CEFR C1/C2 or equivalent)
• Interpreting training, such as Consecutive Interpreting, Simultaneous Interpreting, Professional Conduct and Ethics
• Translation training, such as Advanced Translation, Multimodal Translation and Audiovisual Translation
• Currently enrolled in an academic program (specialization in Translation or Interpreting preferred)
• Legal eligibility to work and reside in the EU and the Netherlands is mandatory.

As part of our Translation Internship Program, you’ll join a structured learning journey designed to help you grow into a confident and independent translator. From day one, you’ll be mentored by an experienced in‑house translator, who will guide you through real projects and translation techniques.

Each week and month, you’ll work toward clear development goals that build both your technical and linguistic skills — from improving translation accuracy and consistency to mastering terminology management and industry‑specific language.
