Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) - Perfect Scale by DoiT.

Location:

Remote, with eligibility in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain for employees, and other EMEA locations for contractors.

Our Perfect Scale platform optimizes Kubernetes environments with AI-assisted automation, delivering an onboarding experience, intuitive UI, and autonomous optimization to reduce manual intervention.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work on core backend solutions powering the Perfect Scale data pipeline and business logic. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers from multiple teams and participate in product decisions.

• Collaborate with product, Dev Ops, backend and frontend engineers to deliver elegant, well-thought-out solutions for complex problems
• Implement features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance; propose valuable additions to the product
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices; perform code reviews to share best practices
• Improve the health of the codebase by addressing technical debt; participate in regular housekeeping
• Provide feedback during planning and discussions to surface challenges and unknowns early

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python)
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience
• 2+ years of experience with high-traffic distributed systems and data pipelines
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases; performance/schema/query optimization;

• Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices and containers
• Experience with microservices and containers (Docker)
• Experience and passion for distributed systems design and infrastructure
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops practices - Docker, Kubernetes, Git Ops, CI/CD
• Ability to benchmark and optimize effectively
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, motivated, thorough and tenacious

• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes
• Hands-on production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with data engineering - streaming and batch processing (Spark, Iceberg, Click House, Parquet)
