Event Security Supervisor

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. (RMPS) is seeking a licensed Event Security Supervisor to lead security staff during live events at a downtown Denver theatre. The role combines post oversight, staff coordination and calm guest-facing incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-event briefings, assign approved posts and confirm staff credentials, uniforms and radio readiness.

• Direct officers at guest screening, entrances, restricted areas, traffic and crowd-control posts.

• Maintain radio contact with venue representatives and coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies.

• Track check-in, work hours, breaks, relief staffing and replacement coverage.

• Escalate safety concerns, guest disputes and significant incidents according to venue procedures.

• Complete incident records, shift notes and handoff reports.

Schedule

• Event-based shifts, primarily evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Start and end times vary with show schedules, pre-event briefings and closeout.

• No fixed number of weekly hours is guaranteed.

Required qualifications

• Valid Denver Security Guard License before working an onsite security assignment.

• Prior security team-lead or supervisory experience; event or venue operations strongly preferred.

• Experience using radios, preparing reports and managing shift coverage.

• Ability to pass background checks and complete venue-required training.

• Reliable transport to the single Denver venue.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with concert/theatre crowds, access control, evacuations and customer-service escalation.
