Job Opportunity:
Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant
Location:
To ensure a convenient commute to the Client's main office, candidates should ideally be located in or around Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Leicester, Cannock, Derby, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Sheffield, or Doncaster. The Client's office is central, and projects can span across the UK.
Type:
Permanent, Full-Time (Flexible Hybrid Working and flexible hours available)
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits
What You'll Do- As Senior Quantity Surveyor, conduct feasibility studies and provide early cost advice.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Offer procurement and contractual advice.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project costing.
- Manage contractor selection, tendering, and analysis.
- Oversee cost control, change management, and financial reporting.
- Perform Employers Agent and Contract Administrator duties (desirable but not essential).
- Extensive experience in consultancy-based Quantity Surveying.
- Strong expertise in pre- and post-contract works, including cost estimating, tendering, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with JCT forms of contract (NEC experience is desirable).
- Excellent client-facing delivery and project management skills.
- A relevant degree (RICS chartership is preferred but not essential).
- Exceptional communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities.
- This is not a junior role; candidates should bring a wealth of experience to manage high-value and complex projects.
