They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Derby team.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties which include delivering design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects. You will also cover analysis and design using software's such as Tekla, IDEA and TEDDS as well as hand calculations and carry out concept and feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.

You will prepare calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, technical reports, design coordination, scopes of work and more. You will also play a key role in assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.

Project work includes the design of new buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and basements, as well as the refurbishment and extension of existing structures and the integration of secondary elements such as staircases and balconies. The team also deliver demolition strategies, forensic engineering, BIM collaboration, and the design of specialist industrial structures for extreme load and seismic conditions, alongside party wall advice.
