Training Specialist (Field Based - Midlands: Stoke & Derby)
Day Rate:
Up to £240 per day (PAYE) / Up to £300 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Length: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Are you passionate about healthcare, technology and delivering outstanding training experiences? We're looking for a Training Specialist to support a leading diagnostics organisation as they roll out innovative near patient care solutions across the Midlands (Stoke & Derby).
This is a field‑based role where you'll travel between clinical sites, delivering hands‑on product training for blood glucose and ketone testing devices. You'll be a key part of the implementation process-ensuring smooth onboarding, confident users, and exceptional patient‑centred outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
Deliver engaging, expert product training on near patient care technologies, ensuring users feel confident and supported
Document all training activities in line with quality and compliance standards
Provide first‑line support for training-related questions, installation guidance and light technical troubleshooting
Support device rollouts, including hardware and software implementations during launch phases
Work closely with clinical and technical teams to ensure a seamless end‑to‑end customer experience
This role includes regional travel, some overnight stays and occasional unsocial hours when required. You will also attend product training and internal meetings at the company's UK head office in West Sussex.
Who We're Looking For
Based in the Stoke / Derby area, you'll be someone who enjoys working with clinical end users, thrives on variety and feels comfortable delivering training across multiple sites. You'll be confident, organised, proactive and passionate about supporting healthcare professionals.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong scientific understanding (theoretical and practical) within a medical or clinical setting
Excellent communication and time management skills
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Living in the Stoke/Derby area with easy access to local clinical sites
Full UK/EU driving licence
Valid passport for occasional overseas training
Fluent in written and spoken English Desirable Skills
Degree level education (or equivalent)
Nursing or clinical background
Experience working within Primary/Secondary Care environments
Ability to design and deliver customised training programmes
Familiarity with medical analytical equipment or quality assurance processes
Strong troubleshooting abilities and customer support experience
Experience working with diverse, multicultural teams
