Residential Children's Manager

Permanent This role does not offer sponsorship and you must be a driver Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for an Experienced Residential Children's Manager in the Derby area on a permanent basis. The position the Experienced Children's Residential Manager will need to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person centered care to all residents and have experience in EBD. This role does not offer sponsorship and you must hold a valid driving license The Residential Children's Manager must also hold an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or working towards this and an in-depth knowledge of OFSTED as well as being willing to get the Registered Manager status as well as a high level of experience in EBD.
The Residential Children's Manager will be responsible for:
Ensure the homes ethos is embedded in daily practice and children are actively involved in their care. Lead safeguarding, risk management, and overall governance to maintain a safe environment. Oversee access to health, education, social, and emotional support tailored to each childs needs. Monitor childrens outcomes and progress, ensuring positive developmental results. Supervise, support, and develop staff through guidance, performance management, and professional development.
Lead recruitment, induction, team building, and manage staffing structures, rotas, and on-call schedules. Maintain a safe, well-equipped home and manage budgets, resources, and administrative functions. Conduct quality audits, manage complaints, and ensure compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and SSCIF. Prepare for Ofsted inspections, maintain constructive relationships with inspectors, and submit required Regulation 44 and 45 reports A minimum of 5 years of recent experience with children Supervisory or Management experience within a children's setting The Residential Home Manager will need:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or working towards) Commitment to continuing professional development Experience in working with children's with EBD Children and Young People's Workforce level 3 or 4 Must have a clean full driving license Benefits for the Residential Children's Home Manager:
