Our client is a global leader in the Rolling Stock industry, operating within manufacturing, maintenance, servicing and overhauls.
Job Description
This role will co-ordinate and administer all production planning activities required for the start-up, execution and completion of current and potential contracts, in line with the Customer requirements and Production needs.
You will prepare regular and exception reports highlighting both real and potential problems. In addition, you will attend program reviews and other meetings and report on the status of contracts for which you are responsible.
Your responsibilities will include:
* The creation and improvement of business processes
* The chasing of production resources I.E materials, parts, tooling etc.
* Providing solutions to bottle neck production issues
* Maintenance of the Master Production Schedules and Valid Finite Capacity Plans for Current and Potential contracts.
* Provides input to daily production meeting.
* Provide information to the Operations team on Material & Capacity availability.
* Provide management information to the management team and a suitable suite of KPI's.
Previous experience in this area is required and as such your planning and organisation skills will be excellent - you should also be familiar and comfortable with working in a production environment. If you have experience of running stage teams this would be an advantage.
Candidates must possess excellent IT skills and will be able to demonstrate business improvement and business development skills. These should be supported by strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
You will possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills and will be comfortable working with a diverse range of people at all levels. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and will be comfortable working, both in isolation, or as part of a team.
