Lead Maintenance Engineer

Position: Lead Maintenance Engineer (Permanent)
W Talent are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established manufacturing business located in Belper, Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team within a high-tech, fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be working 40 hours per week, across 3 week shift rotation period which include Early's, Afternoons, and nights.

Role Overview

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will provide multi-skilled engineering support across the facility. You'll work on a wide range of machinery from automated presses to robotic systems ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance in accordance with the site plan.
Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
Conduct fault diagnosis and repair across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
Accurately document maintenance activities for audit and compliance purposes.
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving projects.
Ensure all work is completed in line with current health and safety legislation.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role is essential.
Proven track record in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
Competent with PLC systems and ideally familiar with robotic equipment.
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
Willingness to work across rotating shifts (mornings, afternoons, nights).
