Route Planner - NIGHT SHIFT

We are recruiting a Route Planner for a luxury food delivery business, where precision, freshness and service sit at the heart of every order. This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys solving logistical puzzles and keeping a busy delivery operation running smoothly.

The role is a night shift position operating between 10pm to 4am.

You will turn daily orders into efficient, achievable delivery routes, balancing customer time windows, vehicle capacity and product handling requirements. Working closely with dispatch, drivers and customer service, you will keep deliveries on track and respond quickly when plans change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and optimising daily delivery routes.
• Allocating deliveries across available drivers and vehicles.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting routes to manage delays, traffic and last-minute orders.
• Coordinating with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure timely departures.
• Factoring food safety, temperature control and product care into delivery planning.
• Tracking delivery performance and identifying ways to improve reliability, mileage and efficiency.

About you

You will bring experience in route planning, transport coordination or last-mile delivery, ideally within food distribution, chilled logistics or another service-led delivery environment.

Comfortable using routing software and Excel, you will combine strong geographical awareness with clear communication and a calm, practical approach. Above all, you will understand that every delivery is part of the customer’s experience of the brand.
