Healthcare Assistant

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team.

Intellectual Disability Day Service based in Killybegs.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time health care assistant in Killybegs.

Hours:

09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 – 16:00 Friday.

• Personal care – assisting with bathing/showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence requirements.
• General observations and updating patient records, providing support and encouragement to patients.
• Manual handling – using hoists / slide sheets.

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent – minimum 2 modules including Care Skills & Care of the Older Person)
• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training (we can provide free of charge)
• Safety Intervention Training (we can provide free of charge)
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
