Commercial Finance Manager

Commercial Finance job for a leading distribution business in Manchester, reporting into the Finance Director and Managing Director. This is a Commercial Finance Manager job for a B2B distribution business in Manchester, leading a team of analysts to deliver commercial insight, monthly reporting, business partnering to support a senior leadership team with challenging but exciting growth targets!

This role blends strategy, insight, and leadership-overseeing commercial analytics, pricing, forecasting, and system implementations while acting as a key partner to senior stakeholders. The position also deputises for the Finance Director and offers a clear succession pathway to Finance Director, or within the wider business.

You’ll lead a small team focused on delivering meaningful financial insight, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing the tools and systems that support commercial decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning data into action, improving processes, and working with finance and non‑finance leaders to drive results.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) looking to progress and develop in an SME environment with financial support from a large corporate parent. You will have exposure to commercial finance in a commercial business setting (ideally distribution/manufacturing or a product business), you will be highly IT savvy in particular with manipulating data sets using Power BI and SQL would be highly advantageous.

You will need to work on site 5 days a week, with sensible flexibility for appointments etc, but a requirement to be working in the office the vast majority of the time.
