Construction Labor

Description

As a Construction Laborer, you’ll support construction, renovation, and restoration projects by preparing work areas, handling materials, and assisting skilled trades. You’ll use hand and power tools, follow construction plans and technical drawings, and help complete work safely and to specification. The role may involve heavy lifting and tasks across hardscape, concrete, carpentry, masonry, and other building work.

• Prepare sites and materials; assist with formwork construction, concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete mixing, pouring, pumping, cutting, and finishing.
• Support frame and trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, flooring installation, masonry, plastering, stucco, and caulking as project needs require.
• Read blueprints, interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings, and follow construction plans.
• Operate hand and power tools, including concrete mixers, and maintain an orderly work area.

• Construction experience or construction site experience; experience working on construction projects is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with concrete work, formwork, rebar, carpentry, or related construction tasks is an asset; construction estimating knowledge is also welcome.
• Able to perform physical work, including heavy lifting, and adhere to site safety requirements.
